I've decided to join in the Africa Reading Challenge, hosted by Dave at tukopamoja. The idea is to read 6 books on Africa (with no more than 2 from the same country) during 2008. I think it's an awesome way to read widely on Africa and to get an insight into the diverse cultures and ways of life there. I don't have a full reading list yet, but these are the ones I'm thinking of reading.
1. Blood River by Tim Butcher
2. Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
3. Africa - A Biography of a Continent by John Reader
I've yet to decide the other 3 books to read, but I may read Petals of Blood by Ng'ugi wa Thiongo.
